Giuseppe Zais

1709-1789 Italy/Baroque

Brief Biography-Giuseppe Zais was born in Forno di Canale in 1709. Marco Ricci influenced his work, and Zais became a disciple of Francesco Zuccarelli in Venice, where he mainly worked painting landscapes and battle scenes. Zuccarelli influenced his later landscapes in brightness and style. He died in Treviso in 1784.
