Brief Biography-Eliseu D’Angelo Visconti was born in Italy in 1866 and raised in Brazil. He studied in Rio de Janeiro before moving to Paris, where he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts and the Académie Julian. He also studied under Eugène Grasset at the École des Arts Décoratifs. Visconti exhibited at the Paris Salon and became a professor at the Escola Nacional de Belas Artes in Rio de Janeiro. In addition, he undertook several large commissions in Brazil and won at least four medals for his works. |
