Nikolaos Xydias Typaldos

1828-1909 Greece/Academicism

 

Brief Biography-Nikolaos Xydias Typaldos was a Greek portraitist from Lixouri who studied in Rome and the École des Beaux-Arts, Paris. He travelled Europe extensively, and he spent his later years in Greece. His paintings were of various subjects; however, portraiture was his primary focus.
