Brief Biography-Jorge Vinatea Reinoso was from Arequipa, Peru, where he grew up. He was a painter and cartoonist and had his first exhibition in 1917. He studied at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes under Daniel Hernandez, who established the school. Reinoso later became a professor at the school and made a successful living as a magazine illustrator. He was only thirty-one when he died of tuberculosis. |
