Brief Biography-Francisco Palacios of Madrid was a disciple of Diego Velasquez, who excelled in portraiture until his master died in 1660, when he concentrated more on history and still-life works. There was a painting of Saint Onuphrius by him in the church of the female prison in Madrid. He died in Madrid in 1676. |
