Wang Hui 王翚

1632-1717 China/Late Ming Period

 

Brief Biography-Wang Hui was born in Changsu in 1632. Famed for his scroll images, his masters were Wang Shimin and Wang Jian. Along with them and Wang Yuangi, they became known as the four Wangs, Hui being the predominant artist. In Beijing, Emperor Kangxi commissioned Hui to create large scrolls of his South tour, which are on display today.
