Brief Biography-Jerónimo Jacinto de Espinosa was born in Cocentaina, Valencia and was a pupil of Francesco Ribalta and Nicolas Borras. He painted in the style of Guercino (Squint Eyed); however, Ribalta remained his primary influence. His most noted work is an altarpiece in the church of the Carmelites, depicting the Transubstantiation. Many of the churches in Valencia hold his performances. He died in Valencia in 1680. |
