Brief Biography-Bernardo Daddi from Florence was a disciple of Giotto di Bondone
whose influence is evident in his works. He mainly painted frescos; his most noted works were the Miracle Working picture of the Virgin in Or San Michele, Florence and the Martyrdoms of Saint Stephen and Saint Lawrence in the Berardi chapel in Santa Croce. Daddi is one of the forerunners of religious art of the Renaissance. |
