Brief Biography-Federico del Campo was from Lima, Peru. He left for Europe at an early age; although he was Peruvian, he became more associated with Italy. Federico studied in Madrid at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in his twenties. He later moved to Italy, where he travelled extensively. Vedute paintings of Venice were his speciality, selling to many foreign visitors. In 1893, he moved to London, where he had a flourishing career. He died in 1923. |
