Hans Asper

1499-1571 Switzerland/Portraitist

Brief Biography-Hans Asper was from Zurich, Switzerland, where he spent his life. There are few details about his life. However, historians established that the Great Council elected him and had a medal struck in his honour. He sadly died in poverty. His paintings were composed mainly of portraits and still life. Two of his children also became painters.
